Fresh off the heels of our 30th Anniversary year, our Board and staff embarked upon an exciting strategic planning process to ensure we continuously focus on building a world where the contributions of artists of African descent are celebrated, integrated and elevated in every form.
The NBAF has worked for several years to become known as much more than just a festival. And we have already enjoyed great success by eliminating the barriers to exposure that were imposed by a defined season. Over the past 2 years, we've worked to cultivate year-round programming that impacts the future through youth education, supports emerging artists and provides public programming at various times and locations throughout the year.
These efforts further our mission to expose, educate, engage and entertain audiences as we present and support art and artists of African descent, while broadening cultural experiences for all.
